Grow Lake County

Lake County has a unique and robust local food system, from local growers, CSA programs and farmers markets, to one of the region’s only incubator programs for beginning farmers.

In an effort to better coordinate all of these amazing efforts happening in our local food system, The Lake County Community Foundation manages this Grow Lake County resource hub — your one-stop shop whether you want to buy local food, grow your own food, or get involved in your community.

The site includes an interactive map that displays: farmers markets, farm stands, community supported agriculture (CSAs), community gardens, restaurants that source local food, grocers that source local food, and agri-tourism in Lake County. The site also includes profiles highlighting the incredible organizations engaged in gardening efforts, youth agriculture education, fresh food access, agriculture-based workforce development, and more.
