Strengthening Safety and Stability in Lake County

This Resource Library is a centralized space designed to support community partners, service providers and residents by offering a curated collection of local and regional resources in response to increased ICE enforcement in Lake County.

This library builds on our county-wide cross-sector coordination call efforts, which bring together nonprofits, local governments, schools, health systems, businesses and community leaders to share real-time updates, resources and strategies for maintaining community safety and stability during moments of heightened risk or uncertainty.

Better Birth Outcomes – Lake County Health Department
The Better Birth Outcomes program, part of the Lake County Health Department’s Maternal Child Health services, provides home visits for pregnant individuals and families with infants up to six months old. A team of Public Health Nurses and Community Health Specialists offers clinical assessments, education on prenatal and postpartum care, infant feeding, and newborn care, as well as support connecting families to essential resources. Families and service providers can learn more or submit an Interest Form through the program’s webpage to receive outreach and eligibility information. Flyers are available in English and Spanish.

The City of Waukegan passed Resolution 25-R-281, a resolution adopting policy and procedure prohibiting the use of City property for federal civil immigration enforcement.
