Veterans Path to Hope supports veterans with a wide variety of services, including basic necessities, housing assistance, peer support counseling, employment assistance, and connections to community resources. Everything VPH does has the overarching purpose of reducing veteran/military suicide, striving to meet needs before individuals fall into crisis. Meet the Speaker: Jim Dolan, Director of Veteran Outreach
Jim Dolan began working with veterans and their families 18 years ago as the Executive Director of the Laurus Foundation. In 2012, Jim became a founding member of Illinois Joining Forces (IJF), a statewide collaborative established to assist Illinois Veterans and their families in finding, navigating, and accessing services within the VA and in their community. In 2016 Jim joined IJF full-time as Veteran Outreach manager, eventually becoming the Senior Director of Development. Together with Dr. Frank Yurasek, PhD, L.Ac, Jim co-founded the Healer Warrior Initiative ~ a self-healthcare training program teaching Veterans to take better care of themselves, their families, and their fellow Veterans.
